Envisioning a San Juan Unified School District where funding is not a barrier to equitable opportunity and access.

Creating connections, inspiring collaboration, and cultivating community, the mission of the San Juan Education Foundation is to harness the combined power of philanthropy and partnership to propel student achievement and enrich the lives of educators. Founded in 1991, we provide support through Direct-to-Teacher Grants and a broad scholarship portfolio.

Annually, our Evening with the Stars gala recognizes prominent alumni who have been successful in their chosen profession and who have given back to the community. We are also fortunate to be the beneficiary of the Fair Oaks Chicken Run.

Arts Education Stories

Californians put their money where their mouth is when we voted to approve Proposition 28, the Arts and Music in Schools Funding Guarantee and Accountability Act in November 22. As those funds have begun rolling out through the San Juan Unified School District, the San Juan Education Foundation has been raising funds to support the purchase of arts education equipment and infrastructure to help advance arts education across the district.

In addition to raising funds for arts education, we'd like to highlight educators who have inspired San Juan Unified students through their love and passion for the arts. Please share your story about arts education and the teacher who made an impact in your life during your San Juan Unified schooling time.

$100,000 for ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMs

We’re funding art dreams by investing $100,000 in San Juan Unified schools to enhance and create foundational arts education programs that support California Content Standards across all five arts disciplines (dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts). These grant funds, leveraged with the funds made available through Proposition 28, the Arts and Music in Schools Funding Guarantee and Accountability Act, will help fill a gap in creating and sustaining effective and meaningful arts education programs across the district. The grant period closed on March 15, 2024. Awards will be announced on May 1.

San Juan Unified is fortunate to have a non-profit partner, the San Juan Education Foundation, helping to make dreams come true. From grants that support our educators’ innovative instruction to scholarships funding our seniors’ future education plans, contributions from the San Juan Education Foundation and its donors help make our district great!
