René Syler is an award-winning journalist, author, and health advocate best known as a former anchor of The Early Show on CBS. Over her distinguished broadcasting career, she has interviewed major political figures, bestselling authors, and Hollywood stars—from Laura Bush and John McCain to Beyoncé and Denzel Washington.

A two-time breast cancer survivor family member and survivor of her own pre-cancer diagnosis, she underwent a preventive double mastectomy and became a passionate national spokesperson for breast cancer awareness. Her story was featured on Oprah, and she now travels the country sharing her message of strength, self-advocacy, and imperfection.

René lives in Westchester, New York with her husband and two children, continuing to inspire through media appearances, speaking engagements, and her platform, Good Enough Mother.
