Ambassador Tracey Jacobson is a distinguished U.S. diplomat and Career Minister in the Senior Foreign Service. She has served as Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and previously represented the United States as Ambassador to Kosovo, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
Her senior leadership roles have included Acting Assistant Secretary for International Organizations, Deputy Executive Secretary, and Dean of the Foreign Service Institute. Her career has taken her around the world, with assignments in Korea, Russia, Latvia, the Bahamas, and across the State Department in Washington.
Ambassador Jacobson is the recipient of multiple State Department honors, including two Presidential Meritorious Service Awards. She holds a BA and MA from Johns Hopkins University. She is married to David Baugh, a former member of the British Foreign Service.
